The Keys to Biow' Success
In just under a month, World Science and Technology Day will be celebrated — a date that reminds us of the importance of scientific knowledge and innovation for sustainable development. Although the celebration is still a few weeks away, at Biow we want to get ahead of the occasion by highlighting how cutting-edge technology and a sustainable approach have been key to our growth. Science is the driving force behind our progress, and what better way to prepare for this day than by reflecting on its impact on our work and the world?
The Beginning of Success
In 2012, Biow began researching respiration and its role in cell regeneration and oxidative stress. As the results improved, more institutions and high-profile organisations joined the trials. Among these were Real Madrid, the Spanish Football Federation, the Movistar Cycling Team, and Villarreal C.F., among others.
In 2019, Biow launched its first personal device designed to reach everyone. This device offers a comprehensive solution that aims to counteract the cumulative effects of the exposome on health over time.
Why Biow?
In 2020, the journal Frontiers in Genetics published the article “The Chemical Exposome of Human Aging” ,which explored ageing as an inevitable biological process characterised by the gradual decline of intrinsic biological functions. The article also highlighted the impact of environmental chemical elements, known as the exposome, on health and the ageing process.
Biow addresses this issue by generating dilutions of negatively charged oxygen and nitrogen ions with biologically active properties. These ions are absorbed directly through the skin and mucous membranes, positively impacting key biological processes such as protein synthesis, ATP (energy molecule) production, oxidative stress reduction, and nanotoxin removal.
